About Us
We are one of South Africa’s longest running orchestras, with roots back to 1888. Today, around fifty committed players, including amateurs, students, teachers and professionals, rehearse weekly and perform across the city. Often collaborating with choirs, vocal or instrumental soloists and schools. Our mission is simple, make orchestral music welcoming and accessible to Durban.
